May marks Bike Safety Month.
Bike safety is something that is often overlooked. It’s easy to hop on a bike and go! But whether you’re heading out for a solo ride, a ride with friends, or a family trip, here are some things to consider before your next trip:
-Make sure your tires have enough air.
-Wear colors that are easily seen.
-If you’re biking on the road, ride with traffic.
-Bikes are considered vehicles – obey stop signs and traffic lights.
-ALWAYS wear a helmet!
It doesn’t matter how old you are – these are things everyone should do. We need to teach our children to ride safely from a young age, but it’s never too late to start!
Ride safe!
